Dr. Shepard has had a lifetime passion for animals and medicine. Growing up on a rural area, both his mother and father were career veterinarians caring for both small and large animals including horses and cattle. After graduating from the University of California, Davis school of Veterinary Medicine, he spent 4 years working for the North American Equine Breeders program. He then went on to earn his Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons for Small Animal, Large Animal, Equine.

When not working at the animal hospital, Dr. Kline is often found riding his stallion Lightening, listening to music, or reading.
